Hans & Klaus Steinbrenner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans & Klaus Steinbrenner was a community of sculptors made up of the two brothers Hans Steinbrenner (1928–2008) and Klaus Steinbrenner (* 1935) in Frankfurt am Main . The artist partnership existed from 1958 to 1963.

The two mostly created monumental abstract sculptures out of wood and stone. In 1963, the partnership dissolved again. Hans Steinbrenner continued to work very successfully as a sculptor. Klaus Steinbrenner initially worked as an architect in Frankfurt before moving to the USA in 1968 , where he first worked as an architect and later as a renowned sculptor. In 1964, Hans & Klaus Steinbrenner were represented with a “ Large Wooden Figure ” at documenta III in Kassel in the “ Aspects 1964 ” section.
