Hans Adam Friedrich Freiherr von Studnitz (born March 25, 1711 in Jeroltschütz , † October 16, 1788 in Kehl ) was a Prussian nobleman, Oberhofmarschall of the Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and director of the Gotha Ekhof-Theater .

Von Studnitz came to the Gotha court under Ernst II . In 1747 he bought a country estate in Wechmar and had it expanded into a two-wing summer residence, the still existing Landhaus Studnitz .

In 1775 the Gotha Court Theater was founded in Friedenstein Castle under his direction .

Von Studnitz died single and childless in 1788. His final resting place is the funerary pyramid created in 1770 by the sculptor Friedrich Wilhelm Eugen Döll in his garden in Gotha, which is now known as the Studnitz pyramid .
