Jim DeChamp

Jim DeChamp (born October 18, 1980 in Bloomington , Illinois ) is an American motocross driver and stuntman for the American television series Nitro Circus , which was produced by Travis Pastrana , among others .

Life

The family moved to Chicago a few months after he was born in Bloomington, Illinois . A few years later the family moved on to Cincinnati , where his sister Jackie was born. The family then moved back to Chicago and later to Northern Virginia . DeChamp rode BMX from 1990 to 1995 . In 1996 he started freestyle and dirt jumping . In 1999 he won the National Dual Slalom Mountain Bike Championship .

In 2007 DeChamp starred in his first full-time film called Thrillbillies . In addition to 24 appearances in the television series Nitro Circus so far , DeChamp also had an appearance in the reality television series Fantasy Factory in the episode The Dyrdek Family Vacation in 2009 .

In 2008 DeChamp was the first ever to do a forward flip on a motocross bike in the 7th episode of Nitro Circus , making it in the Guinness Book of Records . He had failed to make this jump three months earlier during the 2008 Summer X Games .
