Hans Adler (lawyer)

Hans Adler (born July 28, 1899 in Berlin ; † January 9, 1966 in Berchtesgaden ) was a German business lawyer.

Life

Adler studied law at the Georg-August-Universität and became a member of the Corps Hercynia Göttingen in 1920. He passed the trainee exam in 1922 and was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . In 1926 he passed the assessor examination . From 1928 to 1930 he ran a law practice in Berlin. In 1930 he took over the management of the Reich Association of German Trust Companies, thereby gaining important influence on the development of the auditing profession . He played a decisive role in the establishment of the Institute for Auditing and Fiduciary Services (from 1932 Institute of Auditors ). Until 1936 he was head of department and legal advisor of the institute. In 1937 he reopened a law firm and passed his exams as a tax advisor a year later , and in 1939 as an auditor. He closed his law firm in 1940 and became a board member of Deutsche Revisions- und Treuhand AG, where he remained until his death, most recently as board spokesman.
