Hans Altmann (Linguist)
Hans Altmann (born May 19, 1943 in Plattling ) is a German linguist .
Life
From 1963 to 1970 he studied German , history and geography in Munich (1970 state examination / 1975 doctorate / habilitation 1980). From 1970 to 1975 he was a research assistant at the LMU , from 1975 to 1980 a research assistant . In 1980 he received calls for C3 professorships at the University of Cologne and the LMU. Since 1980 he has been professor for German linguistics at LMU. In 1984 he turned down the call for a C4 professorship at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main .
