Hans Bäurle

Hans Bäurle (born April 28, 1931 in Ochsenberg (today part of Königsbronn )) is a German painter , graphic artist and sculptor .

After the Second World War he completed an apprenticeship as a painter in Heidenheim an der Brenz and attended a private art school in Munich from 1951 to 1952, before studying at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1953 to 1958 . In 1958 he received a teaching position at the Istanbul Art School. After his return to Germany, he worked for a few years as an artistic employee at a Stuttgart company from 1963, before setting up as a freelance artist in 1970.

Bäurle gained importance primarily through the public commissions he completed in the context of art in architecture . a. He carried out ceramic work in the cafeteria of Stuttgart University , enamel work in the Heidenheim district hospital, woodwork in the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart and in the Böblingen Congress Hall as well as paintings for the indoor swimming pool in Böblingen and the Fildorado in Filderstadt. Especially for art in architecture, he was awarded the Academy Prize in 1956, and from 1958 onwards at least ten more first prizes. Several monographs have been published on him. In 1991 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
