Hans Beletz

Hans Beletz (born May 30, 1954 in Graz ) is an Austrian visual artist .

Life

Beletz, who was born in Graz in 1954, first completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman and from 1980 was a sales representative for women's clothing. He began painting in the 1980s and in 1983 attended the landscape painting course with Claus Pack (1921–1997) in Graz. In the same year the first exhibition followed in the Schillerhof gallery under gallery director Bernhard Eisendle , followed by exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Italy and the USA.

Beletz's work was strongly influenced by the French Raoul Dufy , the Viennese Kurt Moldovan and Wilhelm Thöny (like Beletz born in Graz). Beletz began as a landscape painter, who mainly expressed himself with ink and watercolors. In recent years he has increasingly turned to oil painting.
