Hans Bernd von Botzheim († August 18, 1631 ) was a Saxon-Weimar court official.

Hans Bernd von Botzheim comes from Alsace and comes from the Protestant noble family Botzheim .

On August 24, 1617, Botzheim attended the funeral of his employer, the Duchess Dorothea Maria of Saxe-Weimar , as a Saxon-Weimar Chamberlain .

In 1619 Prince Ludwig I of Anhalt-Köthen accepted Botzheim into the Fruit-Bringing Society . The prince gave him the company name the cool one and the motto in the heat . Botzheim was given a strawberry with its herb seal as an emblem. Botzheim's entry can be found in the Koethen Society Register under No. 28.

In the same year he accompanied the Weimar dukes Johann Friedrich von Sachsen-Weimar and Albrecht von Sachsen-Eisenach on their grand tour through Switzerland and Italy as court master (together with Tobias Adami ) . This trip lasted almost three years.

In 1621 the tour company returned to the court in Weimar and some time later Botzheim advanced to the Weimar court marshal - perhaps as a thank you .

Court Marshal Hans Bernd von Botzheim died in Weimar in August 1631. On the occasion of this sad event, his employer, Duke Wilhelm IV of Saxe-Weimar , had a coin with the inscription Treu Herr, treu Knecht minted and distributed.
