Hans Cauer (painter)
Hans Cauer (born March 21, 1870 in Kreuznach ; † October 3, 1900 there ) was a German painter.
Hans Cauer, offspring of the artist family Cauer , was the youngest of seven children of the sculptor Carl Ludwig Cauer and his wife Elisabeth Helene Magdalene, née. Schmidt, born. In 1886 he was a student at the Düsseldorf Art Academy under Hugo Crola , and later at the Weimar Academy of Painting, and spent study visits to Spain and Egypt. He lived as a painter in his hometown and died there on October 3, 1900, at the age of 30, of tuberculosis.
