Hans Dieter Bork

Hans Dieter Bork (born July 12, 1932 ) is a German Romance studies and linguist.

life and work

Hans Dieter Bork received his doctorate in 1964 (as a student of Harri Meier ) at the University of Bonn with the dissertation The family from Latin 'Quatere' in Romansh (Winter, Heidelberg 1969). He succeeded Joseph M. Piel as professor at the University of Cologne (first assistants: Annegret Bollée and Johannes Kramer ) and remained so until his retirement in 1997.
