Hamburg Hoheneichen is a stop in the north of Hamburg in Hamburg-Wellingsbüttel . The lines S1 and S11 of the S-Bahn Hamburg run there .

history

The station is on the Alstertalbahn . It was opened in 1918 and electrified in 1924. The double-track electrical operation opened on March 12, 1924, when the contact wire for the Hamburg-Altona city and suburban railway was completely installed. A planned third track for freight traffic was not implemented. Since 1940 there has also been a conductor rail for direct current operation, and in 1955 the overhead line was removed.

Furnishing

Hoheneichen has a central platform with two tracks. The stop is barrier-free with an elevator .
