Hans Dietz

Hans Dietz (born July 21, 1908 in Dudweiler ; † September 5, 1993 in Sulzbach ) was a German doctor and SS-Sturmbannführer .

Life

Dietz was the son of an elementary school teacher. From 1930 to 1936 he studied medicine in Bonn and Heidelberg . On December 7, 1936, he passed the state examination. He then worked briefly in the Psychiatric-Neurological Clinic at Heidelberg University. On July 20, 1932, he became a member of the General SS (No. 181 122). On November 1, 1932, he joined the NSDAP (membership number 1 355 249). After joining the SS Totenkopfverband from March 1, 1938 to February 1, 1939, he served as an SS troop and camp doctor in the Dachau and Flossenbürg concentration camps . In autumn 1939 he began his service in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp . From July 1941 he was employed as a regimental doctor in the 6th SS Mountain Division "North" . From August 14, 1942 to September 6, 1943, he was a doctor in the Charité SS hospital department in Berlin . From September 6, 1943 until the end of the war, he worked in the SS hospital in Prague . On June 9, 1944, he was severely reprimanded for filing a report prematurely.
