Painting and graphics

The graphics, oil paintings and collages by Hans Ebers are characterized by a wide variety of manufacturing processes. While he applied his abstract oil paintings to the canvas, sometimes with a spatula, sometimes with narrow clothespins, often in muted tones, his graphics are characterized by the variety of materials used. Through sometimes multiple overlapping printing processes, he achieved differentiated color gradations and spatial depths. Color-intensive collages were inspired by a trip to New York that he undertook six months before his death.
