Hans Erling (born December 29, 1894 in Bremen , † April 30, 1950 in Bremen) was a German entrepreneur and director of the Bremen Rolandmühle .

biography

Erling's family immigrated to Bremen from the Netherlands in 1801 . His great-grandfather and grandfather built and operated mills in Bremen. His father Carl Erling was the founder of the Rolandmühle. He completed training as a businessman and in milling technology at home and abroad. From 1914 he served as a soldier in the First World War . In 1921 he became a board member of Rolandmühlen AG . In 1930 the company bought Hansamühle Gercke & Deppen & Co. , which was founded in 1890/91 and was located in the Holzhafen. At the same time, the company acquired Grohner Mühlenwerk on shares , the building of which was demolished in 1934. Erling walked 1937 the AG in the family-owned limited partnership Bremer Roland Erling & Co. to. During the Second World War , the plant was spared bombs, but was to be blown up by the German military in 1945, which was then prevented.

Erling was a member of the plenum of the Bremen Chamber of Commerce , worked like the father in the Catholic St. Johannis parish and was on the board of trustees of the St. Joseph Foundation . He was a member of the supervisory board of Norddeutsche Kreditbank and various other supervisory boards.

After his death, the Rolandmühle was continued by family members.
