Hans G. Bentz
Hans Georg Bentz (born September 5, 1902 in Berlin , † December 31, 1968 in Prien am Chiemsee ) was a German writer. His animal books and crime novels were particularly successful. The famous Berlin criminalist Ernst Gennat was the model for his figure of the criminal director Türk .
At 15, Bentz published his first stories in the Berliner Tageblatt . After graduating from high school, he was a trainee at the Vossische Zeitung and, at the age of 27, became editor-in-chief of the Berliner Morgenpost . The National Socialists deposed him from this position. From 1945 he was editor-in-chief in Munich. He was successful with books from the 1950s. He also voiced his story Tommy for a long-playing record.
Bentz died in 1968 of complications from a stroke .
