Hans Goller

Hans Goller SJ (born October 3, 1942 in Kastelruth ) is an Italian philosopher and theologian .

Life

He studied philosophy at the Berchmanskolleg in Pullach near Munich ( Lic. Phil. 1970), Psychology at Saint Louis University and Xavier University (Cincinnati) ( Master in Clinical Psychology 1973), Psychology at the University of Innsbruck ( Dr. phil. 1978) and theology in Innsbruck ( Magister Theologiae 1982). He completed his psychotherapy training in behavioral therapy (ÖGVT Austrian Society for the Promotion of Behavioral Research, Behavior Modification and Behavioral Therapy 1976–1980) and conversation psychotherapy (ÖGWG Society for Scientific, Client-Centered Psychotherapy and Person-Oriented Conversation 1979–1983). He taught psychological and philosophical anthropology at the University of Philosophy in Munich (1982–2000), of which he was rector from 1994 to 1999. From 2000 until his retirement in 2008 he taught as a university professor at the Institute for Christian Philosophy in Innsbruck.

His main focus is on philosophical borderline questions in empirical psychology.
