Hans Hammer (engineer)

Hans (Otto) Hammer (born December 10, 1924 in Elbing , East Prussia ; † November 8, 2012 in Aachen ) was a German engineer and professor of technical chemistry at RWTH Aachen University .

Life

Hans Hammer studied at the Technical University of Berlin , where he received his doctorate in 1959. In 1968 he received the license to teach technical chemistry. After a short time in the petroleum chemistry industry , he accepted a position at RWTH Aachen University in 1972, where he headed the chair for fuel chemistry and physical-chemical process engineering . One of his main research areas was the investigation of bubble column reactors .
