Hans Heinrich Frodien (born June 28, 1897 in Kuss, Mecklenburg ; † unknown, after 1945) was a German police officer and SS leader. Among other things, he was Heinrich Himmler's adjutant in the Gestapo .

Life

Frodien took part in the First World War as a volunteer . He then belonged to a volunteer corps until 1920 . He then worked briefly in the private sector before joining the police force in September 1920 .

At the beginning of 1934, Frodien was appointed police captain to liaison with the protective police at the Secret State Police Office in Berlin . In 1934 and 1935 he served as an adjutant to the Reichsführer SS , ie Heinrich Himmler, in the Gestapo. He was later promoted to colonel in the state police . On May 1, 1937, Frodien joined the NSDAP ( membership number 4,344,788) and later also the SS (SS number 491,734). In the latter he was promoted at least to Obersturmbannführer according to the principle of equalization . In 1945 Frodien worked for the commander of the Ordnungspolizei in Vienna .

Christoph Graf sees it as a "blatant example of continuity from the war veteran and Freikorpsführer via Schupo and Gestapa Diels to Gestapo Himmler, whose adjutant Frodien was without membership in the NSDAP or SS."
