Hans Hermann Schmid
Hans Hermann Schmid (born January 23, 1884 in Vienna , † October 23, 1963 in Rostock ) was a German gynecologist .
He was a son of the Viennese painter Julius Schmid . HH Schmid completed his medical studies in Vienna and Heidelberg in 1907 with a doctorate and completed his habilitation in obstetrics and gynecology at the German University of Prague in 1919. From 1925 he was director of the municipal women's clinic and from 1930 of the state midwifery training institute in Reichenberg, worked in a private practice from 1938 and was full professor of obstetrics and gynecology and head of the university women's clinic and gynecological clinic in Rostock from 1946 to 1957 . From February 28, 1948 to February 6, 1949, HH Schmid was Rector of the University of Rostock .
