Hans Hopfinger

Hans Hopfinger (born March 3, 1951 in Egweil ) is a German cultural geographer .

Life

After receiving his doctorate in 1982 with a thesis on success control of regional economic development and his habilitation in 1989 with a thesis on public and private agriculture in Syria , he was appointed to the chair of cultural geography at the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in 1996 .

His research focuses on general cultural geography with special consideration of social and economic as well as urban and transport geography, application-oriented developing country research (especially the Middle East and North Africa), theoretical, methodological-methodological and conceptual foundations of tourism science and tourism geography and regional focus: Germany / Europe , USA, Middle East and North Africa.
