Hans Jørgen Boye

Hans Jørgen Boye (born June 30, 1942 in Rudkøbing ) is a former Danish rower .

The 1.88 m tall Boye rowed for the Lyngby Roklub . At the European Championships in 1964, the Dutch Ernst Veenemans and Steven Blaisse won the two without a helmsman, ahead of the Germans Michael Schwan and Wolfgang Hottenrott , Boye and Peter Fich Christiansen received the bronze medal. In Tokyo at the 1964 Olympic Games, the Canadians George Hungerford and Roger Jackson won ahead of the Dutch and the Germans, and behind the British two, the two Danes finished fifth. In the post-Olympic year, the two Danes then won the title at the European Championships in 1965 ahead of the Austrians Dieter Losert and Dieter Ebner .
