Life

Hans Jenny's first encounter with anthroposophy was during his school days as a high school student. At first only known in the field of anthroposophy, he became known to broader circles, such as visual artists and musicians, in the United States through an English translation of his two-volume work Kymatik . Due to this success, his work was reprinted in an illustrated book in Germany. Jenny continued Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni's investigations into vibrations and their images. His work will be continued by Alexander Lauterwasser . He influenced Alvin Lucier . In the late work of Joachim Ernst Berendt reference is made to Jenny's kymatics.
