Hans Kühtz (born February 15, 1894 in Wiesenburg ; † unknown) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and SS leader .

Live and act

After attending the Realgymnasium in Zerbst and Brandenburg, Hans Kühtz passed the Abitur in Magdeburg. At the beginning of the First World War he joined the foot artillery regiment 4, Magdeburg. He later moved to the 8th Regiment in Metz. From January 1915 to the end of 1918 Kühtz fought on the Western Front. During the war, from which he returned home as a deputy sergeant, he was awarded the Iron Cross, 2nd class , among other things .

From 1919 to 1921 Kühtz completed a commercial apprenticeship. After that he earned his living as a self-employed businessman, employee, representative and acting manager of a rural health insurance fund. Kühtz has been politically active in circles of the extreme right since 1919: in 1919 he became a member of the German National Protection and Defense Association . In 1920 he joined the German Social Party , in 1923 in the German Volkische freedom movement and in 1925 in the Stahlhelm . In 1926 he switched to the NSDAP ( membership number 44.033). Since 1930 he was a member of the SS (SS No. 2.521), for which he was active as a full-time SS leader from June 1934. On November 9, 1934 he was promoted to SS-Standartenführer and on January 30, 1938 to SS-Oberführer .

From April 1938 until the end of the Nazi regime in the spring of 1945, Kühtz was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 10 (Magdeburg) .
