Hans Kaiser (politician, 1947)

Hans Kaiser (born July 31, 1947 in Pohl , Rhein-Lahn-Kreis ) is a former German politician ( CDU ).

Career

The radio journalist became spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1979 and deputy spokesman for the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1985 . In 1992 he became spokesman for the Thuringian state government .

After Kaiser had been State Secretary in the Thuringian State Chancellery and authorized representative of the Free State of Thuringia at the federal government since 1999 , he was appointed Minister for Federal and European Affairs in the State Chancellery on June 6, 2003 by the newly elected Thuringian Prime Minister Dieter Althaus . When the new government was formed as a result of the 2004 state elections , he left office on July 8, 2004; the state secretary and head of the state chancellery Gerold Wucherpfennig was promoted to minister and additionally took care of the federal and European affairs previously settled with Kaiser. In his capacity as a member of the Thuringian state government , Hans Kaiser was a member of the Federal Council from June 10, 2003 to July 8, 2004 .

From summer 2006 until his retirement in summer 2012, Hans Kaiser was the representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in the Hungary office .

Hans Kaiser is married and has two children.
