Hans Mössner
Hans Mössner (* around 1640 in Passau ; † January 22, 1700 there ) was a German blacksmith .
Life
Mösner married the daughter of a Passau locksmith in 1663. There are no records of his training. In the historical art history he is mentioned among others as a visual artist .
Works
Around 1680 he made the grilles to close the side aisles in Passau Cathedral . In 1682 he was appointed court locksmith and in 1683 was commissioned to build the large choir lattice in the cathedral. His work on the sheet metal roofing of the side aisles around 1685 and the fittings made in 1694 for the portals of the cathedral have also survived.
