Hans Maria Wellen (* 1932 in Kleve ; † 1992 in Emmerich ) was a German composer , organist and conductor .

Life

After studying school music, German literature and classical philology in Cologne from 1954 to 1957, he was then a composition student of Bernd Alois Zimmermann until 1960 . Teaching activity in Hagen , Emmerich and since 1971 at the Johanna-Sebus-Gymnasium in Kleve . From 1974 he had a teaching position at the Folkwang University in Essen .
