Hans Meier (soccer player)
Hans Meier (born August 30, 1920 ) is a former German soccer player. With SG Planitz he became soccer champion in the eastern zone in 1948 .
Athletic career
The sports community (SG) Planitz became West Saxon soccer champions in 1948 and qualified for the soccer east zone championship in 1948 . The 28-year-old Hans Meier also belonged to the squad of West Saxony. In Planitzer's 5-0 victory in the semifinals against SG Weimar Ost , Meier, used as a right winger, scored the 2-0 intermediate result. In the final, SG Planitz met SG Freiimfelde Halle and won the East Zone Championship 1-0. Meier stormed again on the right wing position. He was also part of the Planitzer squad in the 1947/48 season, who did not get past fourth place in the Saxon championship this season. Hans Meier then left the Planitz squad.
