Matej Mitrović (born November 10, 1993 in Požega ) is a Croatian football player .

Career

society

Mitrović passed through the junior department of NK Kutjevo , NK Kamen Ingrad Velika and NK Papuk Velika and switched to the junior staff of Cibalia Vinkovci in 2011 . In the same year he was accepted into the professional squad and was part of this squad for the next two years. He then moved to HNK Rijeka .

For the second half of the 2016/17 season he moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for the reigning Turkish champions Beşiktaş Istanbul . For the second half of the 2017/18 season he was loaned to the Belgian club Club Brugge . For the 2018/19 season Mitrović finally moved to Club Bruges and signed a contract there for a term of four years.

There he fell out of the entire second half of 2018/19 due to an ankle injury. He was only back on the pitch in the 2019/20 season.

National team

Mitrović began his national team career in 2012 with a commitment for the Croatian U-19 national team . He then continued his career with assignments for the Croatian U-20 , Croatian U-21 and the senior national team.
