Hans Vanaken (born August 24, 1992 in Neerpelt , Flanders ) is a Belgian football player who plays for Club Bruges in the Belgian division 1A .

Career

Vanaken played in his youth at SK Lommel , PSV Eindhoven and most recently at Lommel United .

He also started his professional career at Lommel United in 2010. In the summer of 2013 he moved from there to Sporting Lokeren . On May 30, 2015, he signed a contract with the Belgian first division club FC Bruges . Vanaken made his debut there on July 16, 2015 against AA Gent (1-0).

In August 2019, the contract with Club Bruges was extended until 2024.

For his achievements, he was awarded the Golden Shoe in 2018 and 2019 , awarded by a jury of specialist journalists, and for the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons with the title Footballer of the Year in Division 1A , chosen by all players of the League, excellent.

National team

In 2012 and 2013 Vanaken played a total of four international matches for the Belgian U-20 and U-21 national team . His first international match for the senior national team took place on September 7, 2018 as part of a friendly against Scotland.
