Siebe Schrijvers (born July 18, 1996 in Lommel ) is a Belgian football player . He plays as a striker for the Belgian club Club Brugge .

Career

Schrijvers began playing football at Racing Peer before moving to the youth department of the first division club KRC Genk . In July 2012, at the age of 16, he made the leap into the first team's squad. On September 26, 2012, Schrijvers came to his first professional appearance at the age of 16 years, two months and eight days when he came on as a substitute for Jelle Vossen in the away game in the sixteenth-finals against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise (6-0) at half-time . He was also his first assist of post, as he the 6: 0 victory goal from Bennard Yao Kumordzi by a pass initiated. On December 6, 2012 Schrijvers made his debut in the Europa League . In the last group game of Group G he was used by KRC Genk, who had already qualified for the next round, in the home game against FC Basel (0-0) when he came on for Anthony Limbombe in the 88th minute . From January 2016 to January 2017 he was loaned to Waasland-Beveren . In July 2018 he then moved to Club Brugge for a transfer fee of 3 million euros .

National team

Since 2010 Schrijvers has played for the national teams of the Belgian Football Association . With the U-17 he took part in the U-17 European Football Championship in Slovenia in May 2012 . However, he was eliminated with the national team in the preliminary round.

He made his U-21 debut in 2016 and was captain of the selection for over two years. He scored four goals in 18 games.
