Hans Migotsch

Hans Migotsch (born May 18, 1893 in Zwickau ; † November 17, 1978 there ) was works council chairman and works director at the Audi plant in Zwickau .

biography

After finishing school, Hans Migotsch started his apprenticeship as a locksmith at the metal factory Gebr. Jakob Zwickau , which he completed in 1911. He then took up activities in the metal industry in Leipzig and Zwickau. From 1914 he was hired as a locksmith at Auto Union AG in the Zwickau plant . During the First World War he was drafted into the army from 1915 to 1920 and was taken prisoner by the French . He then worked at Audi (Auto Union AG) in Zwickau by the installer via foreman to foreman up. He was a member of the SPD . In May 1945, as chairman of the works council , he initiated the reconstruction of the Zwickau Audi plant, which had been destroyed by the Second World War . As a trustee , he obtained the approval of the plant from the Soviet Army in September 1945 and resumed production in January 1946 as a technical plant manager with repaired machines. In May 1950 he became plant director there and was responsible for the production of the IFA F8 and IFA F9 , as well as for researching a replacement material for missing planking, which was used on the later vehicle type P 70 . He also initiated the establishment of a company kindergarten .

While suffering from tuberculosis , he was dismissed without notice in January 1953 for alleged sabotage and behavior that was harmful to political parties and the people. He was expelled from the SED in absentia and shortly thereafter was taken into custody . He had been a disability pensioner since October 1953 . Several letters of petition , including to the chairman of the Central Party Control Commission , Hermann Matern , resulted in de facto rehabilitation by the GDR Ministry of General Engineering in March 1956 .
