Hans Minder (born August 28, 1908 ; † unknown) was a Swiss wrestler

Career

Hans Minder started at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam in freestyle wrestling in the featherweight class. He finished third behind Allie Morrison from the United States and Kustaa Pihlajamäki from Finland and won a bronze medal.

At the European Free Style Championships in Budapest in 1931 he wrestled in the lightweight and defeated there with Kustaa Pihlajamäki, who had defeated him in 1928, and with Karoly Karpati from Hungary two Olympic champions. Kustaa Pihlajamäki was Olympic champion in 1924 and 1936 and Károly Kárpáti in 1936. Hans Minder became European champion in Budapest.

He could not take part in the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, where he would certainly have had a good chance of winning a medal, because Switzerland did not send wrestlers to these Olympic Games.

In 1933 he was back at the European Championships in Paris. He started there in the welterweight division and reached the final against Jean Földeak from Germany, against whom he lost and thus came in 2nd place.
