Hans Neureuter

Hans Neureuter (born May 8, 1901 in Elberfeld (today Wuppertal ), † December 31, 1953 in Saarbrücken ) was a German politician .

Life

Neureuter was a lawyer in Saarbrücken from 1930 to 1936 . In 1936 he was expelled from the bar for political reasons. On May 4, 1945 he was appointed by the US commander in Saarbrücken, Colonel Louis G. Kelly, as the district president for the Saar area . On October 8, 1946, he was dismissed by Military Governor Gilbert Grandval ; the administrative commission headed by Erwin Müller took the place of the regional president . Neureuter then became President of the Saarbrücken Higher Regional Court .
