Hans Niehaus

Hans Niehaus (* 1953 in Warendorf ) is a German composer and high school teacher.

Life

Hans Niehaus studied German, music, performing games and movement sciences in Cologne and Freiburg. Hans Niehaus lives in Lübeck . There he works as a high school teacher and composer. Among other things, he composes chamber music and jazz . In his compositions he often focuses on children's theater and children's songs. At the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck he often appears as a silent film accompanist at the piano .

Hans Niehaus worked as an international teacher in Bethlehem for several years. For the 2013/2014 school year he returned to the Carl-Jacob-Burckhardt-Gymnasium . After his return, he began working on children's songs with the character of the "Bonobo", which is supposed to support the teaching of German as a foreign language. A book on this was published in collaboration with his wife Heidi Niehaus in 2015 in the erfindenker Verlag.

Wolfram Eicke was awarded a gold record in2012 for this work on behalf of all contributors.
  • Do not trust your eyes . (Musical with Wolfram Eicke), a Variété for marionettes, performed regularly for 14 years in Lübeck's Marionette Theater (1988 to 2003).
