Hans Otto Becker

Hans Otto KG Becker , also Hans Becker , (born December 28, 1877 in Darmstadt , † December 2, 1957 in Mannheim ) was a German lawyer and author .

Life

He was the son of the editor-in-chief of the Darmstädter Zeitung and councilor Karl Georg Becker and his wife Caroline nee Müller. After attending grammar school, he studied law and political science at the University of Giessen . In 1899 he became a trainee lawyer in Darmstadt and in 1902 an assessor at the regional, district and higher regional courts. In 1907 he was appointed public prosecutor in Fürth im Odenwald.

In 1913 Hans Becker was appointed assistant judge in Lich and a year later he was appointed district judge in Gießen . In 1915 he moved to Dieburg as a grand ducal magistrate and judge . In 1917 he became a judge in Dieburg and worked in the Albinian Castle . In his free time he devoted himself to writing. He specialized in art history and tourism. After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists, he was ousted from his office in Dieburg.

Hans Becker was a member of the Odenwald Club and the General Association of Writers.

Hans Becker had been married to Illa, the daughter of the telegraph secretary Georg Meyer, since December 25, 1904. The son of the same name, Hans (* 1905), emerged from the marriage.
