Athletic career

Reincke remained connected to his hometown Wismar throughout his football career. He first drew attention to himself when he was with Vorwärts Wismar on September 3, 1950 in Erfurt in the final for the soccer cup of the German Sports Committee. Wismar with Reincke as a middle runner lost against SG Lauscha with 0: 1. In the following season 1950/51 he played with the successor community BSG unit Wismar in the second-rate GDR league . He played 16 of the 18 point games played, still as a center runner.

At the end of the season unit Wismar had to relegate, the local rival Anker Wismar , on the other hand, made it to the GDR league. Reincke then left the BSG unit and joined the new league team, who started the 1951/52 league season under the new name BSG Motor Wismar. There were 36 point games to complete, of which Reincke played 27, usually as a left defender. It was his only league season, because the Wismar were relegated from the league after a year. Reincke remained loyal to BSG Motor in the second division and was in the team in another 50 GDR league games by the end of the 1954/55 season. His last league game for Wismar in the GDR league he played on October 31, 1954 in the game Empor Wurzen - Motor Wismar (3-2).

Reincke later worked as a trainer in Wismar, with a degree in engineering. In 1966 he led the juniors of TSG Wismar, successor to Motor Wismar, to the GDR championship. At the beginning of the 1967/68 season he took over the training of the GDR league club TSG Wismar for two seasons. After several years in the TSG youth division, he took over the training of the 1st TSG team again in 1974 and achieved his best result in 1978 with third place in the GDR league. In 1979 he retired at the age of 67, but remained Head of the Football Section at TSG in the 1980s.
