Hans Rudolf Zeller (born March 4, 1934 in Berlin ; † November 22, 2019 ) was a German music theorist, essayist, composer and performance artist.

Life

Zeller studied philosophy, musicology and Romance languages ​​in Freiburg and Cologne . From 1959 he published experimental texts, compositions, essays and translations. He designed radio broadcasts and sound performances and worked for the music concept series by Heinz-Klaus Metzger and Rainer Riehn . In his artistic work he combined texts with sounding objects and / or optical projections (“cinematological literature”, “scriptophonie”).
