Hans Ryffel (legal philosopher)

Hans Ryffel (born June 27, 1913 in Bern , † September 30, 1989 in Thun ) was a Swiss legal philosopher .

Life

Ryffel studied law and philosophy , and became an advocate . In 1943 he received his doctorate on natural law at the University of Bern . From 1938 to 1962 he worked in the Federal Department of Economic Affairs and became Vice Director of the Federal Office for Industry, Commerce and Labor . In 1951 he became a private lecturer in philosophy at the same University of Bern and from 1962 to 1979 was full professor for legal and social philosophy and sociology at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer, meanwhile also its rector. His estate is in the Bern Burger Library .
