Hans Schabus

Hans Schabus (born January 25, 1970 in Watschig, municipality of Hermagor-Pressegger See in Carinthia) is an Austrian contemporary artist . He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in Vienna with Bruno Gironcoli . He became famous for the design of the Austrian pavilion at the 40th Venice Biennale in 2005. Schabus lives in Vienna.

Life

From 1991 to 1996 Schabus attended the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . Hans Schabus has been teaching the sculpture and spatial art class at the University of Applied Arts Vienna since 2014 .
