Hans Schmidt (home nurse)

Hans Schmidt (born July 22, 1912 in Halberstadt , † February 5, 2009 in Bad Harzburg ) was a German teacher, home nurse, author and regional historian.

Life

Hans Schmidt was born in the district town of Halberstadt in the Prussian province of Saxony and lived for a long time in what is now the Schlewecke district of the city of Bad Harzburg on the northern edge of the Harz , where he worked for many decades in addition to his full-time work as a teacher as a home nurse and researcher.

Publications (selection)

He published numerous articles, especially in more than 90 booklets of the Uhlenklippen-Spiegel in Bad Harzburg, published between 1986 and the year he died in 2009 , which were published by the local history association e. V. was published. In addition, Hans Schmidt gave public lectures such as iron ore extraction and smelting in the Harzburg office in the Middle Ages and the early modern period.
