Hans Schröder (politician)

Hans Schröder (born February 24, 1902 in Kiel ; † November 22, 1971 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Schröder attended elementary school and vocational school as well as adult education courses at the Academy of Work in Frankfurt (Main) . He was a shipbuilder, youth leader, foreman, party secretary , advisor at the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Displaced Persons as well as a government councilor and government trade council.

In 1919 Schröder became a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth , where he was later appointed chairman in Kiel. He was a member of the Young Socialists , later chairman in Kiel and Schleswig-Holstein. Afterwards he was chairman of the SPD district association Kiel, councilor of the city of Kiel and from 1958 to 1962 a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament . Schröder also held various honorary positions in the trade unions and was politically persecuted.
