Hans Schulte (legal scholar)

Hans Schulte (* 1932 in Dortmund ) is a German legal scholar and former university professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology .

Life

From 1953 Schulte studied law at the universities of Freiburg , Berlin and Münster . After his first state examination in law in 1956 and the second state examination in 1961, he worked briefly as a judge. This was followed by a position as a research assistant at the University of Münster before he briefly worked for Deutsche Bank in 1963 . 1964 returned to the university and received his doctorate in the same year with Harry Westermann . In 1968 he also completed his habilitation at Westermann in Münster and received the venia legendi for the subjects civil law, civil procedural law, mining law and spatial planning law.

From 1969 Schulte held the chair for law at the University of Karlsruhe and later head of the Center for Applied Law. He remained loyal to the University of Karlsruhe until his retirement in 1999. In 2000 Schulte was a visiting professor at the University of Tartu .
