Hans Siemens

Hans Siemens (* 1818 in Lenthe ; † 1867 ) was a German industrialist and brother of Werner von Siemens .

Hans was originally a farmer and owner of a spirit distillery . He invented a burner that was characterized by a novel arrangement of the heat-exchanging surfaces .

In 1862 he founded a glassworks in Dresden - Löbtau with the support of Werner von Siemens . This glassworks was taken over by his youngest brother Friedrich Siemens after his death.
