Hans Taubert

Hans Taubert (born in Falkenstein in Vogtland in 1928 ) is a German biologist and science fiction author.

Life

Taubert studied in Jena , where he received his doctorate in biology in 1955, and at the University of Halle , where he received his doctorate in chemistry . He worked as a department head at VEB Jenapharm . He is the co-author of two botanical university textbooks (including the plant anatomical internship that is still used today ). In 1975 he received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Hamburg .

Together with Alfred Leman , with whom he had studied together and also collaborated scientifically, he began to publish science fiction stories in 1973, which appeared in the volume The gift of the transsolar , which is considered a milestone in GDR science fiction.
