Olaf R. Spittel has been a freelance literary theorist, critic and editor since 1984. He wrote articles and reviews for various newspapers and literary magazines, many theoretical papers - such as B. an essayistic-lexical brochure about the GDR-SF (together with Erik Simon ) - and afterwords; Spittel was the author of an ongoing bibliography of SF publications in the GDR (in the "Lichtjahr" almanac) and worked on a history of SF films. As an author, he wrote stories: short, pointed texts of a satirical or humorous kind, often with black humor. In addition, radio plays from the areas of crime and fantasy were created.

Under the motto “Books for majorities who are treated like minorities”, a program was developed that includes non-fiction, fiction and feminist literature as well as literature for young people and picture books.
There he publishes contemporary works by authors and translators such as Fritz Becker (* 1947), Klauspeter Bungert , Nadine Erler (* 1978), Sigrid Ertl, translator Detlef Fischer (* 1960), author Renegald Gruwe (* 1956), author and graphic artist Lutz Hartmann (1950), Reinhard Hillich (* 1948), translator Anne Koch (* 1979), author Sabine Koriath (* 1968), translator Ilona Limke-Bollweg (* 1970), author Kurt Nikolaus (* 1954), narrator Karin Schäfer ( * 1975) or the playwright Peter Wayand (* 1972), who is most frequently represented in the publishing series with his own works with five plays such as "Sünde" or "Rosensieg: Der Tod Old Shatterhands".
