Wolfgang Kellner (writer)

Wolfgang Kellner (born June 4, 1928 in Berlin ; † December 30, 2014 there ) was a German writer and dramaturge .

Life

Wolfgang Kellner had to leave high school in 1943 because he fell under race legislation . After the war he completed an apprenticeship as a goldsmith and worked, among other things, as a lumberjack and bartender . In 1953, he worked as a theater manager and assistant director in the DEFA dubbing studios in Babelsberg. He wrote texts for documentaries and short films, worked as a film editor and director in the documentary field.

He studied at the Leipzig Institute of Literature from 1967 to 1971 and then worked as a dramaturge at the Babelsberg Film School . He was involved as a scriptwriter and scriptwriter in the films Alarm in the Attic (1978) and Verflixte Gute Fee (1990). He has been a freelance writer since 1973.

His autobiographical novel Adventurer against Will was filmed in 1987 by Michael Kann at DEFA under the title Stielke, Heinz, fifteen ... and contained the first leading role of Marc Lubosch .
