Karl-Heinz Tuschel
Karl-Heinz Tuschel (* 23. March 1928 in Magdeburg , † 12. February 2005 in Berlin ) was a German science fiction - author , poet and cabaret lyricist . Tuschel is considered to be one of the most popular and productive GDR authors in the science fiction genre.
Life
Karl-Heinz Tuschel was born in Magdeburg in 1928. After graduating from high school and studying mathematics , he worked in the chemical industry , mining, in editorial offices and in the FDJ . During this period he wrote his first poems and his first small works.
From 1958 to 1961 he studied at the Institute for Literature "Johannes R. Becher" in Leipzig, was a dramaturge at the cabaret Die Kneifzange and the Erich Weinert Ensemble of the NVA .
From 1976 he worked as a freelance writer .
Karl-Heinz Tuschel died on February 12, 2005 at the age of 76 in Berlin. His last volume of stories did not appear until after his death. He left two unfinished novels.
