Hans Tremmel

Hans Tremmel (* 1963 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian, social ethicist and university professor.

Life

After studying philosophy and Catholic theology , Hans Tremmel received his doctorate in Freiburg i.Br. to the Dr. Theol. He worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Social Ethics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich as an employee of Alois Baumgartner . He then worked as a department head in the department for Caritas and special pastoral care. Since then he has been teaching as a professor of theology and ethics in social work at the Catholic Foundation University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Benediktbeuern department , and is in charge of the additional theological training there .

Since October 8, 2010 he has been chairman of the diocesan council of Catholics in the archdiocese of Munich and Freising , the highest lay committee of the archdiocese - as successor to Alois Baumgartner.

Since June 4th, 2011 Hans Tremmel belongs to the group of delegates of the Archdiocese for the nationwide dialogue process 2011–2016 of the German Bishops' Conference , the discussion forum "Believe in Today - Where Are We" on the 1st phase July 8th to 9th, 2011 in Mannheim.
