criticism

Urban is accused by the Munich II public prosecutor of having faked a criminal offense in 2019.

A vehicle drove on his yard in Eurasburg near Munich, which is supposed to take pictures for Google Street View .

According to Urban, the 25-year-old driver "knocked him over" there.

"The lawyer of the member of the state parliament, Andreas Hofreiter, says that the Google employee drove to the Urbans property and" touched "the company car while trying to turn it around. As a result, the vehicle was briefly on the foot von Urban. The farm owner finally got in the driver's way, the Google employee in turn loosened the car brake and the Corsa rolled towards the Green politician "until contact was made." Then Urban fell, " because he could no longer loosen his foot between the floor and the front apron ""

Evidence is provided on the one hand by recordings made by the vehicle with its roof camera during the process and on the other hand by a video from the driver's cell phone.

In return, the 25-year-old driver of the car filed a complaint for coercion and pretending to be a criminal offense. The investigation against the driver for willful bodily harm was set according to the information of the newspaper "Merkur".

The public prosecutor's office is now investigating Urban for false suspicion .

At the request of the Munich II public prosecutor's office, the MP's political immunity was lifted by a vote in the Bavarian state parliament on June 25, 2020. The immunity was waived with two abstentions and no votes against. This process means that the procedure can now be pursued further.
