Hans Weibold

Hans Weibold (born August 8, 1902 in Linz ; † January 14, 1984 ibid) was an Austrian landscape painter of naturalism .

Live and act

Weibold attended secondary school in Linz and became a bank clerk. After the collapse of the deposit bank , he worked in Schärding as an accountant in an agricultural cooperative and later at Franck & Sons. From 1942 he served in the war in Russia and France .

The artist lived in Linz and was a member of the Innviertel Artists 'Guild and the Upper Austrian Artists' Association and created in particular naturalistic watercolors (selection). Some works were from OÖ. Landesmuseum and bought by the Museum of the City of Linz. More are available at auctions.

Exhibitions

Weibold's works were exhibited at the first major Austrian art exhibition in 1947 in the Künstlerhaus Vienna.
